Shipping Policies

Certain federal, local and state level laws make selling to these locations operationally or legally prohibitive for G9 Defense at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. See the list below for G9's shipping policy for your specific state. We do our best to stay current on 2A policy and politics, if you see the information provided is out of date or incorrect, please contact us! 

 

State

Restriction

Alaska

Freight forwarding is required. We have had success previously with Carlile “MyConnect”. Set up an account with them and use your forwarding information as your shipping address. G9 is not responsible for forwarding costs.

California

Shipments must be sent to an FFL; no sales of ammo to Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento; customers must go through a point-of-sale background check for all ammunition sales. Please arrange the shipment with your FFL and prior to reaching out to G9 Defense.

 

Connecticut

Customers must present a valid copy of their driver’s license and either firearm permit or ammunition certificate for private sales of ammunition.

Georgia

Shipping to Garden City is prohibited.

Hawaii

Shipping to Hawaii is prohibited.

Illinois

Customers must present a valid state issued ID and a Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) Card to legally possess or purchase ammunition.

 

Shipping to the following localities in Illinois is prohibited.

  • Bensenville
  • Chicago and Chicago Heights
  • Cicero
  • Evanston
  • Norridge
  • Orland Park
  • Schaumburg
  • Thornton
  • Cook County

Massachusetts

Customers must present one of the following three licenses: Firearms Identification Card (FID), the License to Carry Firearms (LTCA), and a Class 3 or “Green Card” permit for fully automatic firearms.

New Jersey

Customers must present a valid Firearms Purchaser Identification (FPI) Card or a permit to purchase a handgun to buy handgun ammunition.

New York

Shipments must be sent to an FFL; commercial transfer of ammunition requires a background check conducted through a statewide license and record database. Please arrange the shipment with your FFL and prior to reaching out to G9 Defense.

 

Shipping to New York City, Buffalo, and Rochester is prohibited.

Rhode Island

Starting January 1, 2023, ammunition purchase requires being 21 years or older with a valid pistol/revolver safety certificate or Rhode Island hunter education course card issued by the Department of Environmental Management.

US Territories, International

Shipping to US Territories and outside of the US is prohibited.


 

Placing an order for a restricted shipping state:

  • Register an account here
  • Depending on your state's requirements, scan necessary documents or make arrangements with your FFL.
  • Send an email to sales@g9defense.com with all of the required documents, shipping information and list of exactly what you'd like to order.
  • A member of the G9 team will help you proceed from there. Please be aware, these orders may take an additional day or two to fulfill, please be patient.

 

Please be aware: 

  • G9 ships all orders via UPS ground. By law, ammunition is required to ship via Ground. As a result, we are unable to ship to PO Boxes or offer expedited shipping.
  • G9 Defense does not accept returns of ammunition for any reason - no exceptions. Please ensure all items are correct before submitting your order for any ammunition products.
  • Due to supply chain shortages or available supply, G9 Defense reserves the right to limit the sale of ammunition to end users.
  • Ammo prices have increased due to increases in the cost of producing ammunition, arising in part from labor and manufacturing material cost increases like copper and other metals. 
  • G9 Defense offers several items that are restricted for sale in the United States of America by federal, state, and/or local laws and regulations. Sale of these restricted items may be limited to United States Military, Law Enforcement, Correctional Facility Personnel, Security Guards, Peace Officers, and various other authorized users.
G9 Defense makes its best effort to ensure that it remains current on all laws and regulations as applicable. Please be aware that United States federal, state, and/or local laws and regulations are complex and are subject to change.
