G9 Defense Black Friday 2025

9 MM

9mm Ammunition

“9mm,” “9mm Luger,” and “9×19 Parabellum” all refer to the same cartridge—the most common defensive handgun caliber in the U.S. thanks to manageable recoil, high capacity, and broad platform support.

Bullet Types: How They Behave

Understanding projectile construction helps you choose the right load. The major handgun types you’ll encounter are:

  • Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) – Non-expanding training rounds known for reliability and economy; typically make narrow wound paths.
  • Hollow Point (HP) – Jacketed designs that expand in soft tissue to increase permanent cavity and reduce over-penetration; common in duty/carry loads.
  • Frangible – Engineered to break apart on hard surfaces to reduce ricochet; useful for steel/indoor training.
  • Fluted / Fluid-Transfer (non-expanding solids) – Solid metal projectiles that use exterior geometry to create disruptive fluid flow and controlled penetration with excellent barrier performance and the highest reliability on target.
  • Tumbling – Loads intended to yaw/rotate quickly for wounding without classic expansion.

The G9 Approach

G9 designs are non-expanding, solid-copper projectiles built for repeatable penetration and barrier consistency—without relying on expansion. Expect predictable depth, minimized deflection through common materials, and lighter bullet weights that reduce felt recoil for faster follow-ups.

Choose Your Purpose

Everyday Carry / Home Defense / Duty

9mm 80gr External Hollow Point (EHP)  |  9mm +P 80gr EHP
Non-expanding solid with patented exterior geometry for strong performance with or without barriers like auto glass, drywall, and sheet metal while maintaining controlled penetration and quick shot-to-shot recovery.

Backcountry Defense / Handgun Hunting / Bear Load

9mm +P 124gr Woodsman
Deep, straight-line penetration through heavy hide and bone; a non-expanding solid for wilderness defense where large-animal threats exist.

Suppressed / Low-Signature Home Defense / PCC

9mm 126gr Subsonic
Tuned for subsonic velocity, stable flight, and consistent terminal behavior with reduced acoustic signature when suppressed.

Training

9mm 115gr FMJ (training ammo) – Clean, consistent practice loads.
