When there is a need for protection against anything that can be found in the wilderness, the Woodsman answers the call. It provides deep, straight penetration with the power to overcome thick hides and heavy bones making it an ideal handgun hunting choice. It is precision machined from solid copper and therefore displays fantastic accuracy and remarkable dependability in terminal performance. It not only penetrates deep, it creates a phenomenal cavitation. Third party testing has proven the Woodsman design to be the largest wound cavity producing munition in handgun calibers due to its unique and patented tip design. The Woodsman exhibits the ‘works on contact’ performance that G9 has become known for. G9 does not recommend this munition for everyday carry due to the impressive depth of penetration.

I have not had a chance to shoot these yet but I am curious to say the least on what the FPS and FPE out of my carbine will produce -seems like a great woods defensive ammo for bear and cougar

    10MM Woodsman

I live in SW Montana, prime griz and cat country. Every hike, fishing, hunting, and camping trip I go on here the Woodsman is always with me. The added peace of mind if anything does go array is beneficial. I haven’t had to use it other than the range. It shoots perfectly and cycles just as great. A great round for an added peace of mind trekking through MT.

My go to carry ammo when I'm hunting in grizzly or cat country. I haven't had to use it, fortunately, but have carried G9 Woodsman hunting in AK and flyfishing in western MT. Much more shoot-able than heavy grain stuff and supposed to penetrate just as deep.
